Safe Passage/Camino Seguro is a not-for-profit organization working in Guatemala to empower the poorest at-risk children, whose families live in the Guatemala City garbage dump community, by creating opportunities and fostering dignity through the power of education.
This is an assistant position that requires introducing international and local visitors to Safe Passage with the goal of inspiring them to support our program through outreach and direct support. This position has a housing allowance available that is equivalent to local staff salary.

• Main point of contact in Guatemala for the US-based Outreach & Communications Coordinator. Liaison tasks in this important area could include taking photos and/or videos at the project; providing news and updates from the project for use on our website, through our social media channels, or in supporter communication pieces; or working with the US Office to field press inquiries for information or interviews at the project.

The Visitors Assistant may be asked to support Teams by escorting a group to dinner, helping with transport, or other back-up as needed to help cultivate these important potential supporters.
